Keeper’s Cottage, Hernhill
Timber-frame extension to a Victorian Villa in the woods – The new extension mirrors the scale and massing of the existing house, while providing a modern double-height kitchen/living space in materials that reflect the agricultural architecture of the local area.
Barn Conversion, Kent
Work in progress – Under permitted development legislation we received planning permission to convert an existing agricultural barn into 3 houses.
1 Harvest Cottages, Kent
Residential extension in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – We didn’t let the planning department’s insistence that the front elevation of this extension mirror the adjacent house restrict the design; by stepping down from the existing ground floor, opening up the back elevation with large bi-fold doors and opening up into a double-height space, we provided a dramatic spacious kitchen/living area for the whole family to enjoy.
The Old Police House, Staplestreet
Residential extension in a conservation area – The new roof greatly improves the front elevation, while the rear extension provides a spacious new kitchen/dining area.
The Gables, Highstead
Rear extension to a residence in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – The rear extension doubles the size of this rural property.
